Sciatica

Life Chiropractic CentreThis condition occurs when irritation or pressure occurs on the sciatic nerve resulting in pain the radiates down the leg. The most common cause is a herniated or bulging disc in the lumbar spine. The sciatic nerve is the largest and longest in your body, and it connects the spinal cord with the leg and foot. The pain can be sharp, dull, shooting, burning, intermittent or continuous and usually one sided. Coughing, sneezing, bending and lifting worsens the condition.
